The CITB/CSKILLS level 1 course is for those who have little or no prior knowledge of Carpentry & Joinery, but think that they might wish to pursue a career and are looking at getting onto the first stage of working in construction and achieving that goal. No formal entry requirements are required.
The CITB/CSKILLS Diploma level 2 course is for those who have already been successful in achieving a Level 1 qualification in Carpentry & Joinery, or who are able to demonstrate considerable experience of Carpentry & Joinery skills prior to joining the course and ideally be working at or hold functional skills level 1 in Maths and English. Achievement of this course will enable learner to move towards employment in the Carpentry & Joinery trade and to QCF training.
The CITB/SKILLS Diploma Level 3 course is for those who have been successful in achieving their Level 2 qualification in Carpentry & Joinery and wish to undertake a supervisory role in this area. The learner will also hold Level 1 Functional Skills in Maths and English.
